2024 EHDI Conference Scholarships for LEND Audiology Trainees

AUCD is pleased to announce the availability of 8 scholarships of up to $500 each to support LEND audiology trainees in attending the Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) Annual Conference on March 17-19, 2024.

Eligibility

All current LEND audiology trainees are eligible to apply. However, priority will be given to trainees that have not attended the EHDI Conference in previous years.

Receiving Funds

Trainees (or their program) are expected to pay all registration costs associated with their meeting attendance upfront and in their entirety. Awardees must fulfill all responsibilities (see items below) and submit a proper reimbursement form and relevant receipts to AUCD not later than 30 days after the end of the meeting or by April 19, 2024. This date is a firm deadline and submitting expenses after this may result in an awardee not receiving the scholarship funds. The reimbursement form and submission instructions will be provided to awardees upon notification. 

Allowable Expenses

Scholarship funds can be used to cover the costs of coach class air or reasonable ground travel, hotel accommodations, food, and presentation materials (e.g., poster printing and shipping). AUCD reserves the right to deny reimbursement requests for items on a case-by-case basis. Conference registration and alcoholic beverages are not allowable expenses under any circumstances. 

Awardee Responsibilities

All awardees will be required to attend the following event before the EHDI Conference:

(1) 2024 LEND Audiology Workshop

Date: Sunday, March 17th, 1pm - 4:00pm 

Not required but highly suggested:

(2) Complete the 2024 Pediatric Audiology Needs Assesment 

Must complete the 2023 Peadiatic Audiology Needs Assesment before recieveing reimbursement funds.

*Please note that the date of this workshop may be subject to change. More details will be available in early March.

Details about these events will be provided to awardees upon notification. In the weeks that follow the EHDI Meeting, awardees will also be required to complete an evaluation survey. Awardees will be expected to share their experiences and help AUCD determine how best to continue supporting learning opportunities for audiology (and other) trainees in future years.
