2013 National Autism Leadership Summit A Big Success

December 10, 2013

The 2013 National Autism Leadership Summit, hosted by OCALI, welcomed over 80 leaders from 25 states on November 18, 2013. The second annual event gathers leaders from multiple systems of services and supports to promote networking and information sharing across various levels of scale, perspective, and location. "The Summit provides an opportunity for meaningful and engaging dialogue between professionals who serve and impact the lives of individuals with ASD across the lifespan -- from early childhood to education to health and human services," says Shawn Henry, OCALI Executive Director. "The enduring vision of our combined efforts as leaders and change-agents is to better influence decision-makers and inform policy and practice." The National Autism Leadership Summit is held in conjunction with OCALICON, the nation's premier event in autism, assistive technology, and low-incidence disabilities.
