Jennifer Bass Appointed New Director of the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center - University of Cincinnati LEND Program

Cincinnati, OH. – The LEND Program at  Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and the University of Cincinnati UCEDD (CCHMC/UC LEND) has named Jennifer Bass, PsyD,  as its new director. She succeeds Karen Edwards, MD MPH, who has been the LEND Director for the last three years.

Bass received her Doctorate of Psychology and Certificate in Organizational Concepts and Management from Xavier University. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at The Munroe-Meyer Institute (MMI) in Omaha, NE and her post-doctoral fellowship at Columbus Children's Hospital. Dr. Bass was a long-term psychology trainee in Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and related Disabilities (LEND) as a practicum student at CCHMC in 2002-2003 and as a pre-doctoral intern at MMI in 2003-2004. Dr. Bass holds the rank of assistant professor of pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati.  Prior to joining CCHMC in June 2009, Dr. Bass was the Director of Curriculum Development and Instructional Support at the May Center for Child Development Randolph outside of Boston, MA.  She serves as the Community Outreach Coordinator at CCHMC's Kelly O'Leary Center on Autism, providing educational and training opportunities throughout the medical center and community.

Bass' primary areas of interest and research include behavioral feeding disorders, siblings of children with ASD, and parent and staff training in the field of applied behavior analysis.
