In June of 2012, the Supreme Court ruled that the Department of Health and Human Services could not require states to expand Medicaid, in compliance with the ACA, or lose thier federal Medicaid funding. In this updated brief, the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities outlines the current status of the Medicaid expansion in each state.
