PittThe LEND Center and the Autism Treatment Network of Pittsburgh have been awarded Autism Intervention Research Network on Physical Health (AIR-P) funding to create web-based family-centered and professional continuing education on autism and intellectual disability. This year long project is being conducted in conjunction with ACHIEVA (Arc of Greater Pittsburgh).

Parent-focused topics include "Navigating the Medical System" and continuing education topics include "Autism and Epilepsy" and "Autism and "Genetics and Autism." The medical topics are aimed at addressing the need for more advanced medical training for primary care professionals who provide the medical home for individuals and families with autism. LEND fellows Amy Matz and Jessica Scott in conjunction with LEND and ATN faculty mentorship have completed the webinar "Navigating the Medical System" which is available on the ACHIEVA website here.
