Ohio MCH Training Programs Joint Trainee Poster Symposium Hosted by Nisonger Center LEND in Columbus, OH

Trainees and faculty from all three of Ohio's MCH Training Programs: the Developmental Behavioral Pediatric Training program at Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital in Cleveland, the LEND program at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, and the Nisonger LEND program, gathered at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio for the first Ohio Maternal and Child Health Training Programs Joint Trainee Poster Symposium.

Trainees presented posters on their research and leadership projects to more than 60 symposium attendees. The poster symposium provided trainees the opportunity to discuss their work and network with faculty and trainees from across the state.

Faculty and trainees from a variety of MCH disciplines attended the event in addition to Shawn Henry from the Ohio Center for Autism and Low Incidence, and Jody Fisher from the Ohio Interagency Work Group on Autism. Henry, Fisher, and Dr. Marc J. Tassé, Nisonger Center director, also facilitated a panel discussion with trainees on ways to integrate research, evidence-based practice, and policy.

Kelly Tanner, MOT, OTR/L, from Nisonger and Stephanie Weber, PsyD, from Cincinnati helped plan and coordinate the event. Both trainees addressed the audience and offered remarks on the impact of MCH training on their opportunities for professional development and networking.

Hearing Loss in Neonates with Down Syndrome
Discordance in Neonatal Risk Factors and 20 Month Outcomes Among Low Birth Weight (<1.5kg) Twins
