NIH Child Health Research Career Development Award

The goals of NIH-supported career development programs are to help ensure that diverse pools of highly trained scientists are available in adequate numbers and in appropriate research areas to address the biomedical, behavioral, and clinical research needs. The primary objective of the Child Health Research Career Development Award (CHRCDA) program is to provide pediatric research institutions with a greater capacity for mentoring junior investigators and, ultimately, to foster translational research on clinically relevant questions enabling basic science findings to be more rapidly applied to clinical problems. This RFA encourages innovative basic research related to pediatric diseases with the goal of accelerating progress in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of these conditions.
