The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) was created to fund research that will give patients, caregivers, and clinicians more information to support health care decisions. The focus of PCORI's work is comparative clinical effectiveness research, the study of which prevention, treatment and care options work best. Input from patients, caregivers and the broader community is critical to PCORI's work.

How to Provide Input

PCORI wants your input on the first draft National Priorities for Research and Research Agenda. The priorities and agenda will guide PCORI's first primary research funding announcement, and PCORI will work closely and continuously with all stakeholders to refine the agenda and to identify specific areas and questions where PCORI's research can have the greatest impact.

PCORI will provide a 53-day public comment period on its first National Priorities for Research and Research Agenda. The comment period begins on Monday, January 23, 2012 and concludes at 11:59 p.m. ET on Thursday, March 15, 2012.

PCORI encourages you to provide input by answering questions and providing comments via our online form, but will accept input by mail. You may also prepare supporting comments in an electronic document (*.doc or *pdf) and upload it using the function at the end of the form. Responses received through www.pcori.org will be displayed for public view on the website.
