The purpose of this program is to support: 1) continuation of the epidemiological research capability of the Centers for Autism and Developmental Disabilities Research and Epidemiology (CADDRE); with implementation of the Study to Explore Early Development (SEED) Phase II; and 2) continuation of the SEED Central Laboratory and Biosample Repository with implementation of reporting for SEED Phase II. CADDRE is a collaborative effort between NCBDDD and the funded sites. The primary CADDRE collaborative activity is SEED, a case-control study of genetic and environmental risk factors for autism with multiple-source, population-based ascertainment of case and control groups.
