Sandra Friedman, M.D., M.P.H, Appointed as the Associate Director of the Colorado UCEDD and LEND

JFK Partners, University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine (UCDSOM), is pleased to announce the appointment of Sandra Friedman, MD, MPH, Section Head of Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, Department of Pediatrics, UCDSOM, as Associate Director of the Colorado University Center of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities and Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Program. Dr. Friedman came to UCDSOM in September 2009 to serve as section head. Previously she was Director of Pediatric Training at the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities program at Children's Hospital Boston (CHB) and the Institute for Community inclusion in Boston, Massachusetts. While in Boston, she also was program director for the Neurodevelopmental Disabilities residency at CHB and Harvard Medical School.  She currently serves on the board of directors of the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, and was recently elected to the Executive Council for the Committee on Children with Disabilities of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  She is co-editor, along with Dr. David Helm, of a newly published book, End-of-Life Care for Children and Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
