Dr. Dena Puskin provided an overview of Telehealth programs and policies, with an emphasis on lessons learned from her more than 20 years in the field. Her presentation provided a framework for developing collaborative initiatives to advance the field of Tele-audiology.
Mr. Neile Scharpe and NDCPD are under contract to HRSA to develop protocols that can be used to implement teleaudiology services. The outcome will be tools that can be used to kick start a distance diagnostics service. Mr. Scharpe provided a brief outline of their progress to date including methodology and some ideas of how teleaudiology could best be implemented.
