Debby Boyer, MS, (DE UCEDD) Selected to Receive the 2009 Ratledge Family Award for Delaware Public Service

Debby Boyer, school-age unit director, has been selected to receive a 2009 Ratledge Family Award for Delaware Public Service. The award, which was established to recognize the contributions of members of the University of Delaware community to the well-being of all Delawareans, is intended to encourage and recognize significant public service by faculty, staff and students. Debby was nominated by co-workers at the Center for Disabilities Studies (CDS) for her numerous contributions to Delaware's education system and the inclusion of students with disabilities. She is well known and respected for the implementation and quality management of the Positive Behavior Support program, which reaches school districts across the state. The award ceremony is October 27 at 4:00 pm in the Roselle Center for the Arts.

Purpose of the award
The Ratledge family, Delawareans who can trace their roots back to the 1700s, have established the Ratledge Family Award for Delaware Public Service. The Ratledge Family Award reflects the family's long commitment to both the State of Delaware and the University of Delaware. The award recognizes the contributions of University of Delaware community members to the well-being of all Delawareans.
The Ratledge Family Award is intended to encourage and recognize significant public service contributions by faculty, staff, and students to the citizens of the State of Delaware. At least one award of $1,000 will be made each year.
