The Department of Nursing at the University of Vermont is seeking to fill three tenure-track faculty positions. The positions are 9-month positions beginning August 2009. Appointments will be made at the rank of assistant or associate professor, commensurate with the successful candidates' qualifications.
All tenure-track faculty positions require an earned doctorate in nursing or a related field, a master's degree in nursing with relevant clinical preparation, demonstrated clinical competence, and eligibility for Vermont licensure. One position requires an individual with expertise in acute care pediatrics. Two positions are available for individuals with adult/older adult acute care or primary care nurse practitioner (ANP/FNP/GNP)experience and willingness to teach in both undergraduate and graduate programs. Teaching experience, advanced practice certification, and a record of scholarship are preferred qualifications.
Ideal candidates will have post-doctoral experience, and current or strong potential for extramural funding. Primary responsibilities of these positions include research and scholarship, grantsmanship, didactic and clinical teaching, student advising, and service to the University. We also seek evidence of ability to work independently and cooperatively within and across departments.
