Center for Community Inclusion and Disability Studies Research Associate, Alan Kurtz, was honored with the annual Professionals Providing Service Award by the Autism Society of Maine for his contribution to services for individuals with autism and their families in Maine. Lynda Mazzola, Vice President of the Autism Society of Maine's Board of Directors, presented the award to Kurtz during their Annual Meeting in Portland.

The Autism Society of Maine is a non-profit organization that serves individuals with autism and their families, professionals, and communities by providing education, advocacy, referrals, and resource development. The Society provides current information in support of informed choice of treatments and services.
