Vanderbilt Kennedy Center (VKC TN UCEDD) Vanderbilt Autism Clinic Provides Entryway Into All Vanderbilt Autism Related Research and Services. An induction into the Autism Treatment Network, a generous grant from Autism Speaks, and the dedication of Vanderbilt researchers, clinicians, and staff who are focusing their work on treatments and supports for individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) have contributed to the newly opened Vanderbilt Autism Clinic (VAC). The VAC is a free intake and referral service for a broad range of Vanderbilt clinical and research programs and resources, as well as those in the community, state, and region. Available resources include autism-specialized diagnostic, medical, early intervention, educational, behavioral, and counseling services for children, adolescents, and adults with ASDs. "The Vanderbilt Autism Clinic is providing a structural framework for the services that Vanderbilt offers now and will develop in the future," said Wendy Stone, Ph.D., director of the Vanderbilt Kennedy Treatment and Research Institute for Autism Spectrum Disorders. "As members of the Autism Treatment Network, Vanderbilt autism professionals will work within the context of the Vanderbilt Autism Clinic. The Clinic forms a community comprised of everyone at Vanderbilt who does work related to autism." For more information contact: (615) 322-7565, toll-free 1-877-ASD-VUMC (273-8862), [email protected].
