Mechanisms of Adverse Drug Reactions in Children (R03)

Encourages Small Research Grant (R03) applications from organizations/institutions that propose to study the molecular, cellular and genetic mechanisms involved in the production of adverse drug reactions in children. -Mechanism of Support. This FOA will utilize the NIH Small Research Grant (R03) award mechanism and runs in parallel with an FOA of identical scientific scope, PAR-08-248, that solicits applications under the R01 mechanism. The R03 grant mechanism supports different types of projects including pilot and feasibility studies; secondary analysis of existing data; small, self-contained research projects; development of research methodology; and development of new research technology. The R03 is intended to support small research projects that can be carried out in a short period of time with limited resources.
