Resort for those with Disabilities Criticized

Advocates for people with disabilities are criticizing a New York state plan to sell the former Syracuse Developmental Center site to a developer who plans to turn it into a $300 million resort for disabled guests. The resort proposal represents a step backward to an era when communities segregated people with disabilities from the general public, the advocates said. "The concept is so bizarre."
