Dear Colleagues,

After 14.5 years of service to AUCD and the network, I have decided it is time to move on. My last day working with AUCD will be May 3. I want to apply my skills and talents where I will be able to stay focused on supporting advocacy and HCBS systems. Read more about why this is important to me. I also want to be closer to my retired partner, so will be leaving both my current job and home and heading west. 

I am grateful to have worked with committed people in AUCD's office, funders, and network. Our network informs policy and practice, and builds leaders all across the country. We change the world as we carry out the DD Act and the Autism CARES Act, as well as our Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Action Plan. Through our training, research, service, and accessible information dissemination, we inform policy and practice, and build capacity in the systems and workforce serving disabled people in every community across the country.

AUCD will continue as my professional home. I will stay connected through our new HCBS Special Interest Group. Take care, give care!

 Después de 14,5 años de servicio en AUCD y la red, he decidido que es hora de seguir adelante. Mi último día será el 3 de mayo. Quiero aplicar mis habilidades y talentos para poder mantenerme enfocado en apoyar la defensa y los sistemas HCBS. Lea más acerca de por qué esto es importante para mí. También quiero estar más cerca de mi pareja retirado, así que dejaré mi trabajo actual y mi casa y me dirigiré al oeste.

 Estoy agradecido de haber trabajado con personas comprometidas en la oficina, los financiadores y la red de AUCD. Nuestro trabajo informa la política y la práctica y construye líderes en todo el país. Cambiamos el mundo a medida que llevamos a cabo la Ley DD y la Ley Autism CARES, así como nuestro Plan de Acción de Equidad, Diversidad e Inclusión.

 AUCD seguirá siendo mi hogar profesional. Me mantendré conectado a través de nuestro nuevo Grupo de Interés Especial de HCBS. ¡Cuídate, dar cuidado!
