Dr. Sarah Mallory has joined Dr. Beth Mineo as co-director of the Delaware LEND program, led by the University of Delaware’s Center for Disabilities Studies. The Delaware LEND is part of a national network of training programs for pre-professionals, professionals, self-advocates and family members that promotes interdisciplinary, culturally competent, family-centered care.

Dr. Mallory has more than 20 years of experience in public schools, home settings and academia and has a joint appointment at CDS and in UD’s School of Education. At CDS, she serves as the director of the Health and Wellness unit, overseeing projects related to public health, mental health, early childhood screening and identification, and emergency preparedness. Dr. Mallory completed her BA in Psychology at The George Washington University, her MEd in Special Education from George Mason University and her PhD in Special Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. She is the principal investigator for six grants and contracts.

"I am humbled by the opportunity to expand my role in LEND by stepping into the role of co-director,” said Dr. Mallory. “The Delaware LEND program has a strong foundation and offers trainees a rich interdisciplinary experience. I look forward to contributing my background in interdisciplinary professional development as we continue to expand LEND's positive impact among Delawareans with disabilities, their families and the professionals who serve them.”
