"Katey’s dedication and commitment to the field is also underscored by her service contributions. Katey is currently the Secretary for the Council on Research and Evaluation (CORE) within AUCD and has served on the AUCD Board Nominating Committee for the last two years. Katey also contributes directly to leadership and practice in special education within Pennsylvania through her role as a Community on Transition State Leadership Team Member within the Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network. She and her colleagues have recently developed resources for young people and their families to understand and access resources on person-centered planning during the transition time frame. These efforts are among many service contributions by Katey to local, regional, and national communities within the field."
