Updates from the State Public Health Autism Resource Center

April 29, 2021

2021 has arrived! Despite the challenges we have all faced during COVID-19, our Community of Learners have persevered and made excellent progress in their work. To learn more about each grantee's work, check out their state profiles on the SPHARC webpage.

Recap: Autism Acceptance Month 2021

During Autism Acceptance Month, we focused on sharing positive, respectful, and accurate information about autism and autistic people. We invite you to visit the official Autism Acceptance Month website (https://www.autismacceptancemonth.com/) hosted by our partners at the Autistic Self Advocacy Network (ASAN). This website serves as a central location for posting and sharing information about autism acceptance-themed events occurring across the United States for the entire month.

SPHARC hosted a series of four coffee talks every Wednesday during April. The focus of the coffee talk series was to feature topics of interest, based on technical assistance requests from the SPHARC community. While SPHARC identified the topics, all the credit goes to our speakers and especially the autistic advocates who helped design the content and presentations.

The recordings and event materials can be found HERE and more information on the series is listed below. Visit http://bit.ly/AMCHPacceptance or contact us at [email protected]
