Have you ever wondered how to say "disability self advocates" in another language? How about Swahili? "Mawakili wa watu Wenye walemavu."

PFP-IDE Fellow Archy Gomba, Founder and Director of SARDO Organization, spoke with Liz about what #SelfAdvocacy is like in Tanzania and his goal of teaching people with disabilities how to become entrepreneurs. Archy was hosted by Iowa's UCEDD, the Center for Disabilities and Development (CDD). To learn more about CDD, visit https://uihc.org/ucedd/. Partnering with the U.S. Department of State, ICI-UMass Boston, and Humanity & Inclusion, AUCD hosts 20 emerging leaders in inclusive employment from Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda to participate in a five-week fellowship in the United States where they learn about disability rights and employment inclusion.
