Boston LEND Fellow Receives CORE Trainee Research Award

Ariel Schwartz, a former LEND fellow from Boston LEND at the Massachusetts ICI/UCEDD received this year's CORE Trainee Research Award. The Council on Research and Evaluation (CORE) recognizes outstanding research accomplished by a current or recent AUCD/LEND trainee.
In recognition of her outstanding research accomplishments her nomination noted "she is a prime example of an emerging researcher with the potential to make a positive impact on the lives of people with disabilities. She is interested in fostering the authentic inclusion of people with I/DD in all aspects of life. She partners with researchers with I/DD throughout her research process." Dr. Schwartz's contributions have led to authorship or co-authorship of thirteen peer-reviewed manuscripts, and she is the PI on two grants from area foundations.
