Dr. Joshuaa Allison-Burbank wins National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development 2019 Native American 40 under 40 award (VT LEND)

Each year, the National Center recognizes 40 emerging Native American and Alaska Native leaders who have demonstrated leadership, initiative, and dedication and made significant contributions in business, their professions, or in their communities. Dr. Allison-Burbank was recognized for his work as a speech language pathologist, lecturer and researcher.

He is a member of the Navajo Nation and Acoma Pueblo. Dr. Allison-Burbank serves as speech language pathology faculty in two LEND programs: VT LEND and KU LEND. Dr. Allison-Burbank is a strong advocate for recruiting and supporting Native American youth in health related professions and increasing services to individuals with disabilities in tribal communities. He is active in AUCD in the Multicultural Council (MCC) and his professional organization, American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
