Large-Scale Collaborative Project Awards (R24/U54)

ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS:
State governments; U.S. territories; Indian/Native American tribal governments; Indian/Native American tribal organizations; Hispanic-serving Institutions (HSIs); Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs); Tribally Controlled Colleges and Universities (TCCUs); Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian-serving institutions; regional organizations; eligible agencies of the federal government; and faith-based or community-based organizations.

SUMMARY:
Awards are intended to help solve critical, complex biological problems within the mission of NIGMS by supporting a team of independently funded investigators to synergize and integrate their research efforts. Varying financial resources are availalbe to allow investigators to form a consortium to solve a research problem by using a comprehensive and highly integrated approach. Indirect costs for consortium arrangements are not counted toward the maximum amounts. Multi-institutional applications are encouraged.
