New Pediatric Sleep Education Modules - Developed by the Pediatric Pulmonary Centers

April 17, 2019

We are pleased to share a new resource, the Pediatric Sleep Education Modules, developed by the HRSA-funded Pediatric Pulmonary Centers.

The modules are free, online, self-directed, training modules related to the care of pediatric sleep patients. CMEs are provided for completing the modules, which can be done individually or as a group.

Designed by board-certified sleep experts and interdisciplinary professionals experienced in caring for children with sleep disorders, these modules allow professionals and trainees from a range of health disciplines to develop competence in assessing and addressing a range of sleep issues in childhood.

Each module includes an Introduction/Background, interactive Case Scenarios and Resources & Tools. Users first learn about each condition and the role of interdisciplinary team members in the comprehensive care of children with this condition. They then indicate how they would proceed with screening, diagnosis, treatment and/or referral. Expert insights and feedback are provided on the options chosen.

  • Introduction to Sleep Health
  • Pediatric Insomnia
  • Sleep Disordered Breathing
  • Parasomnias
  • Hypersomnolence Disorder
  • Movement Disorders
