ICI senior policy staff and University of Washington partners continue to offer technical assistance (TA) on Business Engagement and Labor Market Information through the Workforce Innovation TA Center (WINTAC). New online learning resources have been added to ExploreVR's Business Engagement Toolkit to provide Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) practitioners access to more resources that help promote the understanding of business engagement concepts, assess the knowledge of business relations staff, and provide an overview of VR agency models across the country.
VR agencies have varied approaches to engaging with business, tracking business contacts, and coordinating business engagement activities with workforce partners. In the past, there was not a single source of compiled information about how each VR agency approaches business engagement.
The Business Engagement Compendium is a searchable online database designed to enhance information sharing and networking among VR agency professionals nationwide. The information and data collected in the compendium is compiled from the results of a survey administered to state VR agencies. The compendium provides accessible and updatable information about four key areas:
- Business Engagement Models
- WIOA Partnership Activities
- Business Engagement Data Collection Strategies
- WIOA Partner Agreements
Additionally, ExploreVR is offering a new online course on business engagement basics for VR professionals that includes training modules that give an overview of the basics of business engagement, strategies for marketing and outreach, making meaningful connections, and more!
