Jenness Roth Promoted to Associate Director at the Boling Center for Developmental Disabilities (TN UCEDD)

Jenness Roth has been promoted to the position of Associate Director at the Boling Center for Developmental Disabilities at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC). Jenness brings over 20 years of experience to the position, including several years of management experience as the executive director of a statewide non-profit that serves people with developmental disabilities and their families. For the last nine years, she was the Family Faculty Coordinator for the Boling Center and is the parent of a 32-year-old son with autism and an intellectual disability.

Jenness has a Master's Degree in Special Education, with a certification in Women's Studies. She has particular expertise in the area of special education law and civil rights for people with disabilities. She is the 2014 University of Tennessee Health Science Center Chancellor's Exempt Staff Award winner. Of her promotion to Associate Director, she remarked: "I am honored and excited to work in this new capacity with our team to further the mission of our center in its service to families, students, and the greater community." Her position begins on February 1.
