Professional Fellows Program for Inclusive Disability Employment

January 4, 2019

AUCD is excited to announce that the host application for the International Professional Fellows Program for Inclusive Disability Employment (PFP-IDE) is now open. PFP-IDE is a new U.S. Department of State professional exchange program that will enable 20 emerging leaders in inclusive employment from Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda to participate in a five-week Fellowship in the U.S. where they will learn about disability rights and inclusive employment.

Hosts will provide mentorship to the Professional Fellows and will collaborate to develop an inclusive employment project to be implemented in their home countries. AUCD network members who host a Professional Fellow will have the opportunity to apply for an overseas trip to support their Fellow's project implementation and build partnerships with key advocates in their Fellow's home country. The program is administered by AUCD, ICI-UMass Boston and Humanity & Inclusion, and is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Prospective hosts are encouraged to submit an application by January 20, 2019. Learn more and apply online today!
