The Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD) is pleased to announce the new National Center on Disability in Public Health. The new National Center uses evidence-based strategies to develop and increase the ability of public health professionals to include people who have disabilities. This National Center encourages collaboration between public health partners and AUCD's Network Centers in every state and territory. Key areas of health disparity serve as the National Center's focus areas and include: Access to Healthcare, Developmental Monitoring and Screening, Emergency Preparedness, Nutrition and Healthy Weight, Sexual and Reproductive Health, and Wellness and Mental Health.
You can join the work of this new National Center on Disability in Public Health by serving as a Disability in Public Health Coach, Site, or Learner. Apply today! Applications are due January 30 and groups will be forming in February. Disability in Public Health Coaches and Sites will be matched with Learners who are not yet actively including people with disabilities in their health promotion and public health but aim to do so in the future. It's free to apply and participate. Join us and be part of what happens next!

In the new year, make plans to join us for a three-part webinar series to launch AUCD's new National Center on Disability in Public Health. All webinars will be at 12 pm ET and last 60 minutes. The first webinar will be "National Center on Disability in Public Health and YOU!" on January 8, 12- 1 pm ET. Learn about the evidence-based strategies of the National Center on Disability in Public Health and how you can be a Disability in Public Health Coach, Site or Learner.
