ICI's Employment Services Department (MA UCEDD/LEND)

October 15, 2018

For over forty years, the Institute for Community Inclusion's Employment Services Department has provided person-centered career planning and individualized job development services for adults with disabilities. Members of the Employment Services Department work with adults with disabilities from 18 years old through retirement, providing customized employment services that match the client's skills, interests, and needs. These services include career planning, job placement, job coaching/training, advocacy, case management, and vocational counseling.

This dedicated team serves 40-50 adults every year in one of two employment services programs: the Work Experience Program and/or Individual Placement Services. ICI Employment Services receives referrals from the Department of Developmental Services, Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission, Massachusetts Commission for the Blind, school programs, and private pay clients. The Employment Services Department has built long-term relationships with employers, assisting clients in seeking, securing, and maintaining paid employment. Some current employers include Boston Children's Hospital, Walgreens, Home Depot, Kindred Healthcare, Mass Bay Transportation Authority, Roche Brothers, New England Baptist Hospital, and Wegmans.
