The Strong Center for Developmental Disabilities (SCDD), University of Rochester UCEDD, mourns the passing of a leader and groundbreaking researcher, Dr. Tristram Smith, who suddenly passed away on August 6th, 2018. In the wake of his passing, SCDD celebrates Dr. Smith's legacy and his important work on improving early intervention and educational interventions for children with autism and their families across the globe. As Haggerty-Friedman Professor of Developmental/Behavioral Pediatric Research and Director of Research at the University of Rochester's UCEDD and Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, Dr. Smith led the team working on projects related to early intervention, parent training, and school-based intervention for children with autism spectrum disorders. He will be deeply missed by all.
