TIPS 4 Kids (Missouri LEND) Hosts Successful Leadership Project Poster Session

TIPS 4 Kids, Missouri's LEND, hosted a poster session of trainee's yearlong leadership projects. Topics for this year's leadership projects included:

  • Supporting parents in choosing early interventions for ASD
  • Physical exercise as a means of reducing anxiety in ASD
  • Expediting evaluation processes for individuals with ASD
  • Racial and ethnic disparities in school identification of ASD,
  • A Photo Journal on Epilepsy
  • A budget impact analysis on ECHO Autism
  • Prevalence of orthopedic pain in ASD
  • Caregivers' early recognition of concerns for ASD
  • Disparities in Resource Availability among Rural/Urban areas in Missouri
  • Self-advocacy within the Autism Treatment Network

Approximately 100 students, faculty, community stakeholders, and practitioners attended. Rep. Sara Walsh, of the Missouri House of Representatives, was also in attendance, and we look forward to future collaboration with her and other members of the Missouri House of Representatives.

We are proud of the Missouri LEND trainees for their hard work and growth over the past year. We look forward to seeing them in future leadership positions within their respective fields of practice!
