SC UCEDD Hosts Screening of Dan Habib's New Film "Intelligent Lives"

June 8, 2018

The Center for Disability Resources (SC UCEDD) is pleased to share photos and info about our screening last week of Dan Habib's excellent new film "Intelligent Lives". We and our co-sponsor, the SC DD Council, had events with both public school students and the general public with the film maker Dan Habib. A screening of two of his brief transition films and a panel discussion at a local high school in the afternoon was attended by middle school and high school special education students and teachers.

The panel discussion that Dan facilitated included a CarolinaLIFE student (University of SC post-secondary program for students with disabilities), a Project Search student and a staff member from the SC Department of Education. The evening session (photos) had a full screening of "Intelligent Lives" and a panel discussion that Dan facilitated that included a CarolinaLIFE student, staff member from the state DD agency, and a staff member from the SC Department of Education. Dan was formally introduced by a former CarolinaLIFE student who is on the Intelligent Lives youth advisory board (photo of her with microphone).
