Nutrition is for Everyone Ambassador Updates - Mississippi

Nutrition is for Everyone Mississippi (NIFE MS) held three nutrition workshops during March; Tupelo in North Mississippi, Flowood in the Jackson area of central Mississippi, and Greenwood in the Delta. Participants included people with disabilities and high school classes. The hands-on snack health snack preparation activity continues to be a favorite of participants. One participant shared, "Great ideas on storing food, and great snack ideas," another said, "Loved the hands-on activity and the ideas on budgeting for healthy eating." NIFE MS participated in AmeriCorps Week, at the Institute for Disability Studies office at the University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Park campus. Sixty-two people attended the event, with NIFE MS providing a healthy snack demo and snacks for those attending the community event. NIFE MS and their Deputy Ambassador agency Mississippi Parent Training and Information Center hosted a live webinar of the nutrition education workshop.
