Welcome 2017-2018 Diversity Fellows!

March 1, 2018

The Administration on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AIDD), in the Administration on Community Living (ACL), awarded National Training Initiative grants to 13 University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDDs) to support the recruitment and retention of trainees from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds to participate in a fellowship experience at the UCEDD with opportunities to make systemic change through a capstone project and community-based activities.

A total of 23 Diversity Fellows have been recruited to participate in the diversity fellowship programs across the 13 awarded UCEDD Centers. AIDD has asked AUCD's UCEDD Resource Center (URC) to support a learning community of the grantees and fellows. The URC will provide a national forum for knowledge exchange and transfer among participating fellows and staff leads of funded UCEDD Centers. The grantees and fellows will be provided various opportunities to share their knowledge, experiences, and lessons learned with the network.
