AUCD Statement on Introduction of the Raise the Wage Act

AUCD applauds the introduction of the Raise the Wage Act, which will raise the minimum wage incrementally to $15.00 an hour by 2024. This measure will help many Americans with disabilities move towards self-sufficiency and economic stability. AUCD urges Congress to pass the bill and take steps to expand employment opportunities for people with disabilities. In particular, AUCD encourages Congress to follow the recommendations of the Advisory Committee on Increasing Competitive Integrated Employment for Individuals with Disabilities when crafting policy.
