MCHB Update DMCHWD

April 11, 2017

Greetings from MCHB!

Autism Awareness Month is a perfect time to acknowledge the many ways in which the Autism CARES grantees make a difference in the lives of children with ASD and other developmental disabilities, and their families. This quarter's MCHB Minute is about our gratitude for all that you do!
In particular, thank you for supporting the following recent initiatives:

  • Encouraging trainees to participate in national conferences, such as the Making Lifelong Connections, the Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs (AMCHP) Annual Meeting, the DBP Grantee Meeting, and the Disability Policy Summit to present their research, develop leadership skills, connect with MCH professionals in the field, and network with peers.
  • Participating in the Diversity and Health Equity Learning Collaborative to strengthen or improve your Training Program or organizational practices around health disparities and diversity. We look forward to sharing our best practices and lessons learned across the network!
  • Engaging in the Autism CARES evaluation, which is critical to demonstrate the impact of MCHB's autism programs.

We look forward to seeing all of you in July at the Autism CARES grantee meeting!

Thank you for all that you do for children, youth and their families.
