Sesame Street came to Capitol Hill April 4, along with researchers armed with data showing that a popular new website is making great strides to increase the knowledge and acceptance of children with autism. See Amazing in All Children, an online initiative (http://autism.sesamestreet.org/) created by Sesame Workshop, specifically focuses on children with autism age two to five. It includes a wealth of multimedia resources for families and the general public. It also features Julia, a new Muppet character with autism. Is it working? Researchers from Georgetown University and the Children's National Health System say it is.
