AUCD signed on to an NDD United letter to members of Congress urging them to avoid making further reductions in nondefense discretionary programs, which serve vital functions and have already been cut heavily multiple times during the past few years. The letter reminds members of such programs' importance to stability, national security and the economy, and warns of the devastation that further cuts would wreak over a number of areas, including business growth, public health preparedness, education, government oversight, science and infrastructure.
