In Recognition of Your Commitment and Support of Full and Active Participation of Self-Advocates and Family Members

"The Center for Leadership in Disability's Community Advisory Council (CAC) has exhibited a very strong commitment to supporting the full and active participation of self-advocates and family members in all CAC meetings and activities. They have demonstrated leadership in the promotion and use of assistive technology and universal design to enhance the lives and participation of individuals with disabilities, and also have an outstanding record in promoting and implementing person-and family-centered principles. The CAC also utilizes culturally competent approaches and promotes overall accessibility in all aspects of their mission, including a recently initiated project to increase access to UCEDD training and technically assistance activities to Latino communities in metro Atlanta. The Center for Leadership in Disability's CAC has made substantive progress in achieving and embodying the aims of the COLA mission to build capacity and ensure people with disabilities and family members are included in program planning, research, and evaluation."
