AUCD's National Voter Registration Campaign

September 23, 2016

AUCD invites you to join us in observing National Voter Registration Week! From September 26-30, we will be launching a national nonpartisan social media campaign to drive voter registration by sharing information, resources and individual experiences. Follow our social accounts (@AUCDnews on Twitter and @AUCDnetwork on Facebook), use the hashtag #PWDreg2vote and join the campaign to ensure all eligible voters, especially voters with disabilities, are successfully registered.

In addition to sharing helpful information throughout the week, on Thursday 9/29 at 4pmET, AUCD will host a Twitter Chat with Jennifer Mathis, Deputy Legal Director at the Bazelon Center for Mental Health Law, to discuss the voting rights of voters with disabilities. We hope you can join us to encourage everyone to "Vote as if your life depends on it!"

4 easy steps to join our #PWDreg2vote Twitter Chat:

  1. Log-in: On Thursday September 29th at 4pm ET, log into your Twitter account (or create one).
  2. Search: Search for “#PWDreg2vote” on twitter.com or the Twitter app. Make sure to click “live” or “all tweets” (otherwise you will see only the tweets twitter considers the most important, which makes conversation difficult).
  3. Find: Look for questions tweeted by @AUCDnews. They will be prefaced Q1, Q2, etc.
  4. Share: When tweeting, use the hashtag #PWDreg2vote. If responding to a specific question, preface your answer with A1, A2, etc. as it corresponds to Q1, Q2, etc.
