CCD Letter to Senate HELP Committee on Perkins Reauthorization

AUCD signed onto a letter from the co-chairs of the CCD Education Task Force to members of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee, expressing their concerns about provisions in the Perkins reauthorization bill that limit the power of Department of Education. The legislation mulled over by senators will restrict the Secretary of Education from issuing important guidance and taking non-regulatory actions that help promote inclusion of individuals with disabilities in career and technical education (CTE) programs.
