AUCD signed onto a letter to senior members of the House and Senate Appropriations Committees, urging that they include at least $34.5 billion for the NIH and $1.441 billion for the NICHD in the fiscal year (FY) 2017. The letter was sent to Chairman Roy Blunt (R-MO) and Ranking Member Patty Murray (D-WA) of the Senate Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies, as well as Chairman Tom Cole (R-OK) and Ranking Member Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) of the House Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies.
