New Webinar Series Launched to Explore Disability & Employment (NH UCEDD)

The Employment Policy and Measurement Rehabilitation and Research Training Center (EPM-RRTC) would like to announce the launch of the nTIDE Lunch & Learn Webinar Series. Taking place the first Friday of every month, these webinars come on the same day that the Bureau of Labor Statistics releases its monthly Jobs Report. The National Trends in Disability Employment (nTIDE) Report looks into the numbers as they relate to people with disabilities.

"Research and policy briefs are useful, but often more is needed to actively engage the audience," shares Dr. Andrew Houtenville, Project Director for the EMP-RRTC. "The goal of the nTIDE Lunch and Learn is to create a consistent presence and readily available resource that audience members can count on."

In addition to a discussion on the most recent findings and long-time trends, the webinar will include news and updates from the field of Disability Employment, as well as guest presentations each month that will look at current disability-related research, programs, and initiatives.

Archived copies of the webinar can be found online where you can download transcripts, video, audio, and presentations.

Upcoming presentations include: Chai Feldblum, Equal Employment Opportunity Commissioner, in June, and Allison Wohl, Executive Director of the Association of People Supporting Employment First (APSE)

The Webinar Series is a partnership with the Kessler Foundation and the Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD).

The mission of EPM-RRTC is to support the disability and policy communities as they take on important policy issues by generating and translating new knowledge about disability employment policy and ways to measure the labor market experiences of people with disabilities.
