ThinkWork! Projects Appear in NPR and PBS Series (MA UCEDD/LEND)

Two projects run by the Institute for Community Inclusion's ThinkWork! recently received national media coverage.

WAMU 88.5 News, an NPR affiliate out of Washington D.C., produced a four-part series called "From Institution to Inclusion (For D.C. residents with developmental disabilities, it's been a decades-long fight to be treated like everyone else.)" In part IV of the series, titled "The Next Challenge: Jobs," the article cites annually collected data from The National Report on Employment Services and Outcomes which highlights the low percentage of workforce participation among D.C. residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

"Real People, Real Jobs" was identified as a resource on the PBS Independent Lens documentary "The Cost of Love: Caring for Adults with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities" as a website that's dedicated to highlighting the success stories of those who have found work and thrived.

ThinkWork! is the hub for the ICI's projects that promote integrated employment for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
