AUCD signed onto a letter to Secretary of Education John King urging the department to issue regulations concerning data reporting requirements in the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). AUCD and other signatories to the letter are encouraging the provision of comprehensive guidance to help state and local education agencies comply with ESSA requirements. The data produced must also be fully accessible and helpful in reducing inequities among students. The letter was circulated by The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights.
