AUCD signed onto a letter to the Chairmen and Ranking Members of the House Appropriations Committee and the Labor-HHS-Education Committee urging the approval of $728 million in funding for the Institute of Education Sciences (IES), an arm of the U.S Department of Education which provides essential research and data pertaining to the implementation of federal legislation. The work of the IES will be essential to monitoring and evaluating the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).
