AUCD's Diversity & Inclusion Toolkit

December 7, 2015

AUCD's Diversity & Inclusion Toolkit is a website that provides concrete objectives, strategies, and resources to help you realize your goals related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and cultural and linguistic competence. Strategies and resources are aligned with the roles of three specific audiences: federal funders, national organizations, and university-based centers and programs in the disability community; though many others may benefit as well.

Developed by Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD) staff in collaboration with staff from University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDDs) and Leadership in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities programs (LENDs), as well as many community organizations, the Toolkit is intended to provide a common foundation for efforts undertaken within the national AUCD network that will enhance diversity, inclusion, and cultural and linguistic competence; cultivate partnerships; respond to increasingly diverse communities across the country; and develop strategies for continuing efforts to better serve diverse populations. Each entity can start using the website now to work on goals related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and cultural and linguistic competence.
