This award is named for Anne Rudigier, a young woman who demonstrated that one individual's commitment, energy, love of life, and respect for all people can be shared and can persevere through others. The Award is presented by the Rudigier Family in loving memory of their daughter Anne and of the values she held in her life and in her work.

In Recognition of Your Commitment, Leadership, and Potential

"Katherine is starting her third year in her doctoral program in Special Education at the University of Kentucky. She has completed our HDI Graduate Certificate in Developmental Disabilities, and for the past 1½ years, has served as an HDI Core Research Assistant. She received HDI's 2015 Kevin Burberry Student Award, given to an HDI trainee who best exemplifies leadership and advocacy in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. Her accomplishments truly reflect direct, sustained, and passionate advocacy for children and youth with developmental disabilities."
